Join a union
If you have a paying job, it’s hugely beneficial and highly recommended that you join a trade union.
This will give you support should any workplace issues arise, solidarity with colleagues in your sector and provide you with a community of fellow workers, standing up proudly for each other’s rights. However, union membership is not limited to those currently employed. You can also join a housing union, for example, if you are not currently working.
