During Exams
What do I do if I forget my Student ID?
Temporary IDs are available from Registry with a €25 fee from 8:30am on the morning of your exam if you forget your card. Failure to present a valid ID Card will require you to complete the ID Audit Process:
If you forget your Student ID on the morning of an exam the invigilator will note your name and details and you will be required to report to Registry after the examination. They will conduct an ID audit to verify that you are registered, this will cost €20. If a student presents for a second time to an examination without their current student ID card they will be charged €30, a third time €40, and so on.
After Exams
What happens if I fail an exam?
If you fail an exam you will have to resit in August. If you fail the August resit for a module, you will have to retake the module in the next academic year. You may not continue to the next year of the degree.
Do I have to register for resits?
Details about registration are to be confirmed. You can find the most up to date information at this page.
Is there a charge for resit exams?
Yes, there is a registration fee of €150 for resit exams. If you deferred your first exam, you do not have to pay this fee.
Is there a cap on resit grades?
There is no cap on resit grades, however your grade from your first attempt will be used for your precision mark (overall grade for the year). All attempts at a module will appear on the final transcript.

When will the resit exams be?

No, you only need to repeat the module that you have failed.
Will I have to pay full fees if I’m only repeating one or two modules?
