THE U BUILDING - GLASNEVIN CAMPUS

The “U” Student Centre opened on our Glasnevin Campus in September, 2018. It was opened by President of Ireland, Michael D Higgins, and has been a hive of social, cultural, recreational and educational activity since! It is a bright, vibrant and welcoming space that is home to:

  • The SU Helpdesk

  • The Students’ Union Offices

  • The Office of Student Life Offices

  • The Clubs & Socs Offices

  • The Leaderships and Lifeskills Centre

  • The Entrepreneurship Hub

  • DCU FM

  • NuBar

  • Londis

  • 3 bookable venues

  • 5 bookable meeting rooms

  • Quiet Booths

    Some examples of the activities that take place in the U include weekly club and society committee meetings, dance and yoga classes, drama group rehearsals and performances, society coffee mornings, large gigs with up to 1,800 students in attendance, workshops, weekly sustainability society clothes sales, press conferences and launches, rallies and campaigns, lunchtime music sessions and much more!

ST. PATRICK’S CAMPUS

JAVA STUDENT HUB

 

The brand new Java Student Hub opened its doors in March 2019 after a long awaited renovation. This vibrant, warm, welcoming space just off the D Block on our St.Pats Campus is the perfect place to have a coffee, meet with friends between lectures, have a game of pool or just chill out after a long day. You can play your own music with the speaker system, watch a match on the projector, charge your phone with the brand new charging station and much more. The walls of Java were designed based on the cultural history of our St. Pats Campus, including special references to the notable sporting history and history of the arts.
